All Work and No Play

Fun for me is exploring the World of Art and its many aspects, which is a twenty-four seven thing. This keeps the thoughts and ideas evolving. I rarely simulate old ideas into my new drawings. Everything is fresh and new every time as seen here on this blog. So I must study what is out there in the cosmos and become synchronized returning to earth anew. The next time around I will be better and bigger in many ways than one. Peace to the gods.

Wolverine Vs. Jugganaut

Wolverine Versus Juggernaut is a powerful, gut wrenching assault of massive proportion. Whoever or whatever gets in their way is bound to get pulverized. Who do you think wins?

Ironman Versus Spiderman

When superheroes collide, it can get a little nasty. Ironman is on a solo secret mission in New York City to retrieve property stolen by Kingpin from a shipment en route to his headquarters when Spiderman shows up to try and see what was taken. Ironman is not about to back down from anyone and when Spidey sticks his nose where it does not belong, zap! boom! bap! There goes the neighborhood. I am going to add some background to this drawing fresh from the archives. Let's see what I come up with in the coming week.

In Depth I Trust

Creating depth is what makes a piece of art really standout. One way of creating depth is through relative proportion. The format deals with the size of the subject matter in perspective to other objects around or behind it. This is used a lot in my work, which has its limitations. But when symmetry and the right shading is added, it is almost infinite what can be achieved with just a little imagination. Another process of creating depth involves the usage of many angles which complement each other forming a unison line of sight in which the viewer sees the image as three-dimensional. It is basically an optical illusion because the surface, whether on paper, canvas or computer screen is flat. This takes perfect measurements to align objects accordingly. There is much to learn about art, which is a constant as we see from ancient crafts such as pottery, mosaics, architecture etc., that it never ceases to amaze. May the gods grant us with the vision to succeed in our endeavors as we travel through the World of Art. There is new stuff I am working on, which will be posted this weekend and through next week.
